Yeti Shadow Puppet

This abominable beastie is on the loose and ready to play! When held between a light and your bedroom wall, shadow puppets will cast their magical moving images across your room. Better yet, put on a show for your family and friends! Hold your puppet between a light and a suspended white sheet, those seated on the other side of the screen will see him lurch into action.

Andrea Everman is a Chicago based architectural model maker – a job that not only makes her very cool (in our estimation!) it has also made her very adept with a laser cutter. Applying this tool to her original drawings allows Andrea to cut amazingly fine details into sturdy 4-ply mat board, creating fantastic shadow puppet characters with moving appendages.

This fellow is delightfully designed from his furry belly to pointy teeth. The Yeti is mounted on a bamboo stick and assembled with an ingenious wire mechanism that allows him to wave his arms like crazy. When not in use we've found that a canning jar of marbles, a bucket of sand and a lump of play dough all make excellent stand for our shadow puppets. Owly Shadow Puppets require gentle play and with their small parts we recommend them for ages 8 and up.
