Waffles and Fruit Breakfast Play Food Set

With origins dating back to the 13th Century, the waffle has evolved into the grilled breakfast cake with those ingenious syrup reservoirs that we know and love today. National Waffle Day in the US is celebrated on August 24th, the blessed date on which Saint Cornelius Swarthout of Troy, New York received his patent for a "device to bake waffles" in 1869.
