'I Knit' Kit

We can think of few things as pleasant as a snowy afternoon spent working on a cozy knitting project with your monster pals. Creative beasties are surprisingly adept at knitting despite the humungous size of their hands.

A word to the adults:

We're so proud of this special 'learn to knit' kit for kids, created by the collaborative efforts of several artists:

• Voz Perkins, of Fishcakes fame, dreamed up the wonderful 'I Knit' creative monster that inspired this kit.
• Jesseca Bellemare of Quilt baby custom designed the great red canvas tote lined in bright yellow cotton, with the clever loop handle and magnetic snap closure.
• Cindy Mendenhall of Above and Beyond Designs coordinated the beautiful machine embroidery of Voz's illustration onto the bags.
• And Peace Fleece, a yarn company committed to helping historic enemies cooperate and prosper through trade, supplied the contents of the kit. In every kit you'll find two mini skeins of gorgeous 70% wool and 30% mohair yarn, a pair of handmade and hand painted knitting needles, a yarn needle, a hand painted button, 'learn to knit' instructions and directions for five projects (the kit contains enough materials for two projects).

Ages 8 years old and up, initial adult supervision recommended.
