We love independent artists, adventurers of the esoteric working to create something truly unique - which is why we love Twink. Twink is Mike Langlie and company. Mike is an illustrator and designer, collector of whimsical ephemera and conductor of his own toy piano band. He didn't set out to make children's music, just fun and quirky music, but it's gotten positive feedback from all types of folks (from kids to punks to grandmothers!) This beautifully packaged boxed set comes with a Twink picture book and three mini cds, each with 7 to 8 songs. Titles include Small Sound All Around (charming toy piano compositions), 7 Pieces for Pling Plong (a small mechanical instrument resembling the innards of a music box), and Welcome to the Jingle (a toy piano salute to heavy metal (sort of...) - our favorite!). The Toy Box was released in 2004 by Mulatta Records and is a specially packaged version of all the songs on Suprecute plus two bonus tracks. Please note that these are mini cds and play easily on most computers and stereos, however they may not be compatible with your car stereo.
