Monster Garden Kit

Now we know that gardens are traditionally the territory of gnomes, but we’ve discovered a special variety of monster that’s particularly handy in plant department. Occasionally mistaken for a green horny toad, this little beastie’s favorite pastimes are playing with the watering hose, singing to the vegetables (it helps them grow!), and resting in the tall grass when the sun gets too hot.

We are pleased as punch to announce that Mahar Drygoods has joined forces with our pal Voz Perkins at Fishcakes to create this clever craft kit. Voz printed her ‘I Grow Stuff’ Monster’ on felt so that he can be cut out and sewn into a soft monster. The beastie is then mounted on a craft stick and placed in the center of pot o’ grass seed. Within two weeks the ‘jungle’ grows up around him. The kit includes the printed felt, a bit of poly fluff to stuff him with, the craft stick and a little pack of grass seed. It’s all packaged in a poly bag with a professionally printed header that we designed, complete with instructions on the underside. This kit is intended for crafty kids old enough to safely handle scissors and a needle under the supervision of an adult. Monster Garden Kits are a fun ‘any day craft’ and also make great goody-bag treats.
