Rick-Rack Stocking, Reversible

It’s time once again to hang those stockings by the chimney with care, although we have it on good authority that it’s perfectly acceptable to hang them on doorknobs, bedposts the backs of kitchen chairs without affecting the recipients’ chances of having them filled to the brim with holiday cheer.

The mother-daughter team of Tere and Bethany Jensen of m*o*m have designed a beautiful collection of holiday decor exclusively for Mahar Drygoods, including our Rick-Rack Stocking ready to be filled with sweets and treats. Consistent with their 'waste not' approach to design, the stocking is made from new and vintage fabric scraps and it’s reversible: both sides are identical ecru white trimmed in berry red rick-rack along the foot and across the cuff were it’s joined by three other bands of rick-rack in robin’s egg blue, light green and butter yellow. The edges of the stocking are left raw allowing for a charming gentle fray over time. The craftsmanship is beautiful and thoughtful, making this a reusable holiday tradition that you’ll use year after year.
